The band that has "Come back from the past to create a tone for the future!"

Cleavagedownunder are responsible for the Mimesational craze that is sweeping Melbourne!
At our gigs, we play the songs that we all "love to hate" or still love to love.  All gigs are “mimesational’ Played in the (patent pending) “Mimeorama” format.
We can design & quote on your next function and can arrange everything or just let us entertain you!

OR Facebook Fanclub for more photos and information - Click here too!

After multiple gigs since we were 'discovered' back in 2008 (OK purists of live music, we still call it a gig) we have continued to entertain with our salute to all that was musical and 'out there' in the 70s & 80s.  A musical comedy cabaret like you have never seen before.

Photos and/or video of gigs are on the website.

Contact CDU management here or at the bottom for more info.

"Cleavagedownunder" the band can make your next function a success. We can supply 70s & 80's songs, trivia and perform your favorites. With Terry Towelling as your MC, the event can be customised to your needs  for ANY age group.

With our own technical crew (AKA Roadies) we can assess the venue and location then discuss technical and other needs for your next event.

While some, especially those that sing and have real musical bands, find it difficult to comprehend that we are "mimesational".  However, we take it to the streets, (Or 40th's, 50th's Bar mitzvah's - not sure about weddings, but engagements OK!)

We have real musical equipment, but don't have to plug them in!

A little like the Wiggles for the over 40's! The show is reasonably family friendly (the open local events are) and can be adapted to your taste! If you have a song you want done for the party. let us know and we can (try) to belt it out mimesationally for you!

Both young and old enjoy the odd comical lip-syncing entertainment of the Fabulous Five! We can supply 60's to current DJ style songs between brackets etc. Contact us below for pricing and availability and we can help you plan your next function.

We can supply references from past band clients and our parents will even say how good we are!

QUESTIONS?????????

FAQ: Events, do you only plan 80s events?

Yes, not only music 70s and 80s themed parties, but we can also party plan any event and suggest themes, catering etc. For 21st's, 40ths, surprise parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvah's end of year parties etc, we can take the stress from you and get the event rocking. Any style or theme can be discussed and a "cunning plan" with ideas at a reasonable price.

Foxy our "events coordinator" can assist!

Leave a comment and we will get back to you ASAP!

FAQ: IS THE BAND SUITABLE FOR OUR EVENT?

Dont be fooled by the name! The band caters to ALL age groups. One of the advantages of "Hamming up" old 70's & 80's song's is the younger crowds enjoy the stage show & comic performance , while the older ones remember the songs, enjoy the "almost live" music and sound of the CDU crew on stage.

The band usually plays two sets and can be adjusted to suit the venue, crowd and even something your parents will laugh at, along with your kids.

FAQ: Where can I see what the band does (or does not do)?

Actual Video Footage of Gig's are now on our You Tube site, click YouTube HERE for earlier video version's

The band can perform, or even review an event in only the way they can, and give a honest review in 80s style!

FAQ: Can I put my/our band or event info on the site?

We also support local gigs and artists (you know those who actually sing and use instruments!) here on the website. PLEASE contact us and we can promote you event on our posts, or even advertise for larger events and companies.

If you are considering us, contact us via comments down the bottom with an e-mail address and Captain, Foxy or TJF- Australia the evil mean manager will get back to you!

Leave a comment and we can quote your next function, event or party.

Rock ON!

For the very breast in mimesational music. This is a link to the homepage of the titilating parody cover band that Aust has ever seen!

Why the band are struggling with rehersals!

Reasons why we have “not progressed” is solely due to the members behavior and lack of commitment:

Roger- Rogers Assetts

is wearing a frock in Dromana soon, so that took him on a holiday away from us on the suggested gig date! Apparently also going up to see the word fair site from 1982 in Brisbane, and protest against the evil Premier . Roger, live in the now! I hear Joh has died, the protests of the Police state are over!

funky sax

Freddie and Betty (theres a rumor they are an “item”!)

Let me entertain you

These two are “far too busy” with nicking off to events like Ray Burgess tour of a lunchtime with Supernaut, don’t really blame them, Ray Burgess sold me Sea Monkeys at “Kids World 78″. Hard to get a photo of them together - but “I sure know something” abut them. Betty loves Zoolander!

Foxy -conducting the band (taking over again!)

well you know Foxy, hard to hold, running off here and there. Unable to get to the last band practice due to waiting outside 3XY’s studio to get an autograph! She still does not understand that what is left of 3XY is actually spoken in another language. She thinks this is an interview with Plastic Bertrand!

Chrissie - We love her the most

And Young Chrissie has teamed up with a slob punk called “Pete Vicious”. He seems to “disappear” for weeks on end, and she goes into hibernation while this so called “Punk Pete” gallivants across the high seas! Our Private School girl has gone berzerk! What to do?????? We may need Pete as a “honorary Roadie” thats is if he does not smash the stage!

So after booking the Hampton bowls Club we have to “postpone” this gig. We will be right to go on November, so open to gig locations and parties to perform for. There is talk of a New Years Gig but would need the fan base to support this!
